Antoni Ribas, M.D., Ph.D.

Professor of Medicine, Surgery, and Molecular & Medical Pharmacology, UCLA (Founder)

Dr. Ribas is a globally recognized physician-scientist and leader in cancer immunotherapy and melanoma treatment, with pivotal contributions to the development of multiple FDA-approved therapies.

He directs the Tumor Immunology Program at the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center (JCCC), is a past chair of the SWOG Melanoma Committee, and past president of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). His work contributed to the approval of pembrolizumab (Keytruda®), tremelimumab (Imjudo®), vemurafenib (Zelboraf®), cobimetinib (Cotellic), dabrafenib (Tafinlar®), and trametinib (Mekinist®). He has served in leadership roles across major oncology collaborations and scientific associations.

Dr. Ribas earned his M.D. from the University of Barcelona, his Ph.D. from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and completed hematology/oncology training at UCLA.

His scientific leadership contributes to Lutris Pharma's drug development, with deep insights on the mechanism of action of topical B-RAF inhibitors inducing paradoxical MAPK activation to treat skin conditions.

Anisha Patel, M.D.

Professor, Department of Dermatology, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center

Dr. Anisha Patel is a Professor of Dermatology and serves as the Section Head of Cutaneous Toxicities and Deputy Chair of Research in the department of dermatology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. She is double board-certified in dermatology and dermatopathology and focuses her clinical practice and research efforts on better understanding and developing novel treatment strategies for cutaneous toxicities to cancer therapy.

Dr. Patel published more than 80 peer-reviewed papers including on cutaneous toxicities of multiple anti-cancer drugs.
